A new Hyatt Place hotel is set to open this month in Melbourne’s growing south east. The site at Caribbean Park formerly housed a boat manufacturing facility on 275 acres with an 80 acre lake.

The precinct has now been developed as a business park 27km from the CBD in one of Melbourne’s growth corridors.

It has 171 guest rooms with a range of bedding options plus one and two bedroom suites each with distinct zones for sleep, work and play with the Hyatt branding signifying a new standard of accommodation in the region.

There are flexible event spaces in the property with capacity for up to 150 with natural light and views to the Dandenong ranges.

Amenities include Archie’s Farm Restaurant & Bar, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Clearly this is a major win for the local Knox City Council whose mayor, Cr Susan Laukens, will officially open the property on February 16.

Melbourne also has another Hyatt Place at Essendon fields.
