Holiday Inn, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is investing heavily in the reopening of the travel market with the launch of a new campaign called ‘Brighter Stays Ahead’.
The company says the campaign is part of a reinvigoration of the brand in Australasia.
The special rates are available at its new property, Holiday Inn Werribee, west of Melbourne, and the soon-to-open Holiday Inn Remarkables Park in Queenstown, New Zealand. The campaign includes deals with up to 45 percent off mid-week stays.
General Manager of Holiday Inn Werribee, Preston Miskelly, said the team was looking forward to hosting corporate groups and events and showcasing the hotel’s modern facilities.
“Holiday Inn Werribee is an ideal function venue. Outside of our function spaces, events attendees can take advantage of our Open Lobby, which features an E-Bar and lounge areas where guests can unwind and socialise, as well as our onsite Rosana Bistro & Bar which is perfect for a post-event drink,” he said.
“For organisers looking to provide accommodation for event guests, we have 150 spacious, light-filled rooms that will provide guests with a comfortable home away from home.”
Werribbee is a 30-minute drive from Melbourne airport or 20 minutes from Avalon. Holiday Inn Werribee includes 491m2 of open plan function space with flexible configurations.
Matt Tripolone, IHG’s Managing Director of Australasia and the Pacific, said the company was thrilled to be adding so many new state-of-the-art designed properties to the Holiday Inn family.
“The brand continues to undergo its biggest transformation in 20 years rolling out new contemporary design hotels with transformed public spaces that are warm and inviting and offer the flexibility for guests or the public to meet, socialise or work,” he said.
“The Open Lobby concept is a new brand standard across Holiday Inn properties in Australasia that will revolutionise the guest experience and demonstrate IHG’s commitment to reinvigorating an iconic brand coming up to its 70th year in 2022,” Tripolone said.
Holiday Inn Werribee was the first of these hotels to open in June and where the new open plan lobby made its debut. The lounge area and corner bar have city views, all-day dining options as well as flexible work and media areas.
The property is close to the tourism attractions of the Werribee Park precinct, such as the Werribee Open Range Zoo, Werribee Mansion, Victorian State Rose Garden and the National Equestrian Centre.
IHG Hotels & Resorts also recently opened Holiday Inn West Perth, converting it from the Sage Hotel and there is an impressive pipeline for 2022 that includes Holiday Inn Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, Holiday Inn Suites in Wagga Wagga and Holiday Inn Suites in Geelong with more new hotels to follow.
