MANILA – With recent reports of being the second fastest growing economy in Asia, the Philippines will soon welcome its first Hilton Hotels & Resorts to Manila. Hilton Worldwide signed an agreement with Travellers International Hotel Group Inc to manage Hilton Manila in Newport City, Manila.

Scheduled to open in 2014, the 350-room Hilton Manila is located on Newport Boulevard next to Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and is 3.5 kilometres away from Manila’s central business district, Makati.

“Manila is the political, economic, social and cultural centre of the Philippines and a leading gateway destination in Southeast Asia. Today’s announcement fully demonstrates our ongoing commitment to growing aggressively in Asia Pacific and re-establishes both Hilton Worldwide’s and the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand’s presence in the Philippines. With an experienced partner like Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, we are confident that Hilton Manila will capitalize on the strong domestic demand from travellers seeking world-class accommodations,” said Hilton Worldwide senior vice president, development, Middle East & Asia Pacific, Andrew Clough.

Located directly opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Hilton Manila will be in Newport City, where Manila’s largest road transportation hub and several multinational companies are situated.
