Destination North Coast has opened applications for expressions of interest to join any of four famils to the region between February and June.

The series of three-day-two-night destination educational trips includes Coffs Harbour in February, Port Macquarie in April, Ballina and Byron Bay in May and Tweed in June.

“We are particularly excited to be able to offer these famils after a two-year hiatus, due to the pandemic,” said Destination North Coast General Manager Michael Thurston.

“The famils are co funded by Destination North Coast and via Federal funding received through the Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery Grant Program allowing us to showcase a broader range of new and specialised products and services.

“We know that our event managers really enjoy getting out into our region [and] meeting key stakeholders, and having these personal experiences makes it easier to promote and recommend the North Coast to their clients.

“In fact, our data shows that close to 83 percent of those event managers who visit on-site inspections or partake in our famils, will go on to secure an event in region.”

The expression of interest form can be found on the Destination North Coast website.
