After a 14-year break, MEETINGS will return to Christchurch in 2022, taking advantage of two of the city’s iconic buildings – the soon-to-open Te Pae Christchurch and the refurbished Christchurch Town Hall.

ChristchurchNZ’s General Manager of Destination and Attraction Loren Heaphy made the announcement during a press conference at MEETINGS this morning in Auckland.

“The whole team could not be more excited to showcase our destination to you all,” she said.

“It represents a turning point for our city and our readiness as a destination. We will become a world class business events host city and we are so excited to be revealing our place to you next year.

“It will have been 14 years between drinks. We can’t wait to cheers you all on our city ground in Ōtautahi Christchurch at Te Pae.”

Te Pae Christchurch, the city’s new convention centre, has just announced an opening timeframe for late October 2021.

MEETINGS 2022 will be held June 15-16, 2022.
