One of Melbourne’s newest venues, CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park, will host the welcome event for next year’s Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) – the largest domestic and international business events trade show in Australia.

“The team at AIME and CENTREPIECE have been working behind-the-scenes to create an experience like no other – designing interesting ways to spark meaningful connections and marvellous event moments,” said AIME Event Director, Silke Calder.

“We are beyond excited to reconnect with our friends and community, particularly after a challenging two years faced by our industry. We can’t wait to welcome you all in what is sure to be the event of the year – to not only help supercharge business, but also enjoy a well overdue catch-up.”

The event which usually attracts attendees from Australia and around the world to meet in person in Melbourne will be held as two events in 2022 – a live event for those able to join in person between March 21 and 23, 2022 and a virtual event for those not able to travel to Australia from March 28 to April 1, 2022.

It’s unclear whether Australia’s international border will be further opened by March 2022, although both Victoria and NSW have cleared the way for international arrivals to enter the country quarantine-free once the Federal Government permits it. Currently only Australian citizens and permanent residents – and soon their parents – are permitted to enter Australia freely.

“AIME is one of the most important events of the year for our industry, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to help kick-off the official celebration,” said CENTREPIECE Sales Manager of Conferences and Events Laura Reddaway.

“After years of planning and construction, 2022 marks the first year we’ll be opening our doors. We can’t wait to welcome you all to Melbourne’s home of extraordinary events and showcase how our venue will shine on the world stage.”
