The organisers of the Australian Event Awards are seeking bids from across Australia to host this year’s awards ceremony.

In previous years the host destination has welcomed hundreds of event professionals for the awards night, providing an opportunity to showcase their event credentials and their sense of place.

In a statement announcing the search for a home, organisers promise exposure to the whole events industry through the Awards’ database, media relationships and professional networks around Australia while also flagging the opportunity to part of an event celebrating the best of the industry.

Managing Director of the Australian Event Awards Ian Steigrad highlighted the past success of collaborative bids.

“We are looking for innovative bids that can both facilitate the best possible delivery of the Australian Event Awards and work closely with our management team to make this year’s program an acknowledgement of industry resilience,” he said.

“We are looking for passionate, creative, and collaborative Destination Partners who are just as committed to creating an amazing event as we are.

“Traditionally collaborative bids have fared best, so I really encourage organisations to consider partnerships with each other and their destination.”

Bids close at 5pm AEST July 27, 2021. Organisers have previously indicated the ceremony is likely to take place towards the end of October. Bid documents can be downloaded from the Event Awards website.
