Here’s some positive news. Tourism Australia has confirmed that Australia will be exhibiting at major international business events trade show IMEX America when it runs in Las Vegas from November 9 to 11.
The mega trade show, which brings together exhibitors from 155 countries is expected to have a robust return as trade shows and other business events resume in the United States.
Tourism Australia’s Executive General Manager, Commercial & Business Events Australia, Robin Mack told micenet it was exciting to have an in-person presence at IMEX America, as it signaled a positive step towards the recovery of the business events industry.
“Australia has so much to offer international business events decision makers, from our exceptional destinations and venues, unique experiences and our incredible industry who deliver beyond expectations,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to sharing Australia’s offering at IMEX America, alongside our six partners who will be joining the Australia stand.”
The news indicates that international marketing and business development will be stepped up given the strong profile of buyers expected to attend the event.
In its content pitched to buyers attending IMEX America, Tourism Australia says there’s no better time to host your next business event in Australia.
“With a Bid Fund ready to help with your event costs, Australia is more competitive than ever. Australia engages, challenges, provokes and transforms. It encourages people to discover new ideas, concepts and ways of looking at the world.
“Complementing this, Australia has a distinguished track record of hosting large-scale international conventions. First-class convention centres lead the world in service and catering while convention bureaux facilitate access to some of Australia’s greatest minds, who will inspire and challenge your audience.
“Add to this unique ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experiences and friendly people, and it’s easy to see why there’s nothing like Australia for business events.”
Last week the United States announced that its international borders would reopened in November, paving the way for buyers and sellers to meet at the iconic event. The USA will allow fully vaccinated travellers from around the world to enter the country without the need to quarantine.
As business events industry trade shows resume around the world, Tourism Australia is expected to ramp up its key international initiatives.
Also coming up is IBTM World Barcelona between November 30 and December 2, 2021. Tourism Australia is planning to participate in either the live or virtual components of the hybrid event.
