Auckland’s world-first

Auckland Convention Bureau launched a world-first destination rewards program in Sydney this month, known as Auckland a La Carte.

The convention and incentive rewards program allows PCOS and conference organisers to book and hold an event and then generate points to redeem rewards like Visa gift cards, Coles vouchers and plasma TVs.

Auckland Convention Bureau manager, Anna Hayward, says the rewards scheme will act as a competitive sales tool for attracting Australian business to Auckland.

“There is nothing quite like this anywhere in the world and we are excited about the prospect of giving our clients tangible rewards when they choose to bring their event to Auckland,” she says.

More than 40 Auckland suppliers, including activity operators, international hotels, iconic venues, convention centres and catering and transport companies are already included in the program.
