Air New Zealand recently launched a new mobile app that allows customers to check-in using their smartphones and tablets, view their personal travel details, and access traffic and weather forecasts.

The Air NZ mobile app, for iPhone and Android users, is set to considerably speed up the check-in process by allowing customers to check-in up until 90 minutes prior to an international flight and 30 minutes before a domestic service.

Air New Zealand general manager customer experience, Calum Laming, said the new technology, which is a complete rebuild of its previous mPass app, highlights the airline’s commitment to further enhance and simplify customers’ travel.

“Both the Air NZ mobile app and online check-in offer customers a new level of convenience, saving them valuable time allowing them to check in remotely and to print their boarding pass from home.

“Customers can also use their smartphone as their boarding pass with the app recognised by Air New Zealand kiosks.”
