NEWS: $6 million boost for Sydney events

NSW Deputy Premier Troy Grant has pledged an additional $6 million in funding to assist Business Events Sydney secure more business events for the harbour city and the new International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). The announcement comes off the back of last month’s NSW Government commitment to provide an additional $123.35 million, a 25 per cent boost, to the sector. NEWS: VIC Govt moves forward with MCEC expansion

Melbourne will retain its position of having the largest convention centre in the country with the Victorian Government making the first formal steps today towards expansion of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. The proposal expands the South Wharf precinct footprint to include new retail space, additional car parks, hotel accommodation and multi-purpose convention and exhibition facilities.
