The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) was announced a winner in three categories at last night’s 2014 Victorian Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Industry Awards. MCEC was took out the award for Meeting Venue 500 delegates or more, Banqueting and Catering, and In-house AV Services (for the fifth consecutive year). The Whitsundays’ Whitehaven Beach has again taken out the top gong as the South Pacific’s Best Beach in the 2015 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards. Entries for the 2014 awards closed yesterday and numbers have increased significantly from the previous year. The venue team that successfully delivered Australia’s largest health and development conference for Melbourne was recognised at the 2014 EEAA Awards for Excellence this month.
