Zürich continues to prove itself as an expanding European hub for business and leisure travellers alike.

With the newly opened Dorint Airport-Hotel Zürich, the city recently increased its capacity to better cater to short-term, business and transit travellers.

With more than half a million travellers going through Zürich airport each week, Switzerland Tourism’s director – Australia & New Zealand, Evelyn Lafone, says it is imperative the needs of those on short stays are met with as much care and attention as those on longer holiday stays.

“Convenience, comfort and modern facilities are just some of the key elements short-term travellers, especially those on business trips look for,” she says.

“And these were no doubt at the forefront of the developers’ minds when designing this 4-star hotel.”

Located two kilometres from the airport and 10 kilometres from the city center, The Dorint Airport-Hotel Zürich is a contemporary five-storey building in the shape of the Swiss cross.

Featuring 235 large rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout, the key feature of the hotel is its lack of ceilings at the lobby area, which is situated at the intersection of the cross. This unique structure allows guests to look up across the five floors of the building and onto the sky above.

The hotel also features 11 rooms dedicated to conferences and meetings; a restaurant; ample parking space and a large landscaped garden, which envelops the property.
