The hospitality group is further enhancing its reign over Sydney with the recent addition of Coogee’s Beach Palace Hotel to its ever-expanding portfolio.

The purchase of this historic property follows the group’s recent acquisition of the former Trump Tavern on King Street in Sydney’s CBD and the Paddington Arms Hotel on Oxford Street.

“This is an amazing opportunity for Merivale,” group CEO, Justin Hemmes, said this week.

“There are very few iconic beach-side venues like this in Australia, both in terms of scale and location. I’m extremely passionate about this property and really excited about opening something special for the local community and Sydney.

“The Beach Palace has long been a landmark property in Coogee and we have great plans to bring it to life.”

The hotel is now closed for initial refurbishment with further details and plans to be announced in due course.
