Super Bowl fever hits Sydney at Luna Park Venues – Luna Bowl II!  

As events go, this is a biggie. In the Big Top at Luna Park Venues on February 5, 2018, the most viewed event in US broadcast history, Super Bowl LII will again be on again. Streaming live across multiple screens, the event hosted by Radio Hub sports’ presenters Cooper “Silky” Silk and Craig “Bush” Markham has an Australian twist with a put on the American tradition of ‘Tail Gating’ and the morning kicking off with a pregame ‘Sail Gate’ party.

AccorHotels signs agreement to acquire Mantra

AccorHotels has today announced the signing of an agreement with Mantra Group Limited to acquire the group for $3.96 for each Mantra share. CEO and Chairman of AccorHotels, Sebastian Bazin, said the move will underpin AccorHotels’ long-term growth in the Asia Pacific.

Last night at the Hilton Sydney,  Luxperience 2017 welcomed 350 leading global travel industry representatives at its sixth annual Thought Leaders Forum and Welcome Cocktail Party. With an event theme of transformation both on a personal and professional level, two panel discussions highlighted marketing in Australia and in China, Lauren Bath spoke on the power of an image transforming lives and businesses, while  Glenn and Heather Singleman, talked of their daredevil lives and pushing boundaries to gain our greater selves.

Lighting up Sydney with Barco technology

When Barco previewed its projection technology at the ISE 2017 trade show, TDC CEO Michael Hassett said he knew this was the way forward for the future of large-format video projection. “Laser phosphor technology is the first significant change that we’ve seen in over 10 years, ever since the industry moved from CRT and LCDs to DMDs hailing a new era of projection technology,” he said. Mantra Sydney Airport on track for June opening

A milestone was reached yesterday when the Mantra Group’s new-build Mantra Hotel at Sydney Airport completed the exterior. Now moving into the fitout phase – the nine-level hotel is on track to open in late June. Featuring 136 contemporary guest rooms, a restaurant, bar and car parking, Mantra’s CEO Bob East said it will mirror how people typically interact at an airport with its 24/7 atmosphere and service, informal meeting spaces and a relaxed dining and service culture.
