Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley was awarded Conference Hotel of the Year (Regional) at the 2015 Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) NSW Awards for Excellence, which was held in The Westin Sydney on July 29.
Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, which is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), was recognised for being industry leaders in catering for business events in regional NSW.
General manager, Robert Coates, said he was thrilled with the win as it highlighted the resort’s excellence in providing outstanding business event solutions.
“Since the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Conference and Events Centre opened in January 2015, we have seen a huge increase in demand for business events, as many companies are drawn to the state-of-the-art venue, tailored service, advanced technology, and integrated conference and resort facilities,” Mr Coates said.
Meeting and event related business at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley has grown approximately 20 per cent this year and Mr Coates says that this will continue to grow as a result of the Altogether Perfect campaign – an initiative by regional partners in the Hunter region to attract and secure business events tourism.
This is the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley’s third business event award this year, after winning both the state and national award for Best Meeting Venue (under 500 delegates) at the Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) Awards.
