There’s more positive news from around the globe about events resuming in updates coming from the CEO of the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry (UFI), Kai Hattendorf.
Mr Hattendorf says Asia is leading the way, with progress in the Middle East and the Americas.
In the USA, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak recently announced that Las Vegas can host large events up to 50% capacity with state approval. Orlando, Florida successfully held several more exhibitions, and there have been more announcements from Chicago, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Maryland and other states which are paving the way for a widespread return to live events.
In the UK, the government announced that large scale events can resume on June 21.
Thailand is successfully hosting domestic exhibitions once again, and in China and Japan recovery is gathering pace with local exhibitors and visitors returning in greater numbers.
UFI produces a global tracker which gives an overall view of 60 countries around the world and when events will resume.
