A new 450-pax event space will launch in the newest tower of The Star Gold Coast on the same day Queensland opens its borders to all of Australia.

Isoletto Privé is an indoor and outdoor space with a lawn, deck and terrace on level six of the new 53 storey tower, which also includes Australia’s first Dorsett hotel, opening on Boxing Day and The Star Residences, available for short and long stays, opening in June 2022.

“Visitors to our expanding property will be spoilt for choice, and that includes for those who are looking for a unique rooftop space for weddings, corporate functions and other events,” said The Star Gold Coast Chief Operating Officer, Jessica Mellor.

“We want to ensure the Gold Coast remains Australia’s leading tourism and entertainment destination, and a significant driver of jobs and other economic benefits for Queensland.”

The hospitality group also announced the opening of Isoletto Pool Club, which will be an exclusive offering for guests of The Star Gold Coast’s hotels, including  including The Star Grand, The Darling and the new Dorsett property.

“The Star’s world-class Isoletto Pool Club and Isoletto Privé will help bolster the business events market, which contributed $570 million dollars annually to the Gold Coast economy prior to the pandemic,” said CEO Destination Gold Coast, Patricia O’Callaghan.

“The Gold Coast’s convention and events footprint plays a crucial role in boosting our local economy and helps drive visitation from Monday to Friday as well as traditional off-peak periods.

“The Gold Coast tourism industry needs to diversify and expand as we head into 2022 and beyond – The Star is doing just that. Postponed and cancelled holidays will soon come to fruition and we know there is pent-up demand we can capitalise on.”
