Singapore meeting venues may have projected a very lavish image but truth be told, many of them are seriously pursuing green meetings in the great outdoors or within the confines of a room that demonstrates such staunch commitment to corporate responsibility.

Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets and the voice behind Kermit the Frog, couldn’t be more right: It’s not that easy being green.
In the pursuance of environmental consciousness, being green oftentimes meant investing to convert old practices of wastage and disregard to the environment towards eliminating, reducing or recycling waste.
Commitment to green meetings also involves conversion of thinking and priorities for the greater good. It is, therefore, refreshing to hear how a good number of Singapore’s MICE venues are incorporating green measures in the way they host meetings and events.
The journey towards green meetings may appear an uphill climb but as the practices become familiar and a way of life, the rewards will certainly compensate the efforts – socially and in every business sense.
