The Star, Sydney’s premium events and entertainment destination, won the opportunity to host the Entrepreneurs Organisation Forum Retreat, keeping the highly coveted business event onshore in Australia for the first time in its history.
Securing a venue with a variety of innovative spaces was key for the organisers of the four-day event. The Star’s creative team ensured that event attendees had an unforgettable experience.
Guests stayed at the new five star boutique hotel, The Darling, in Sydney’s most meticulously detailed hotel rooms. Meetings were held around dining tables of the Astral Tower penthouses with views of Sydney Harbour and city skyline.
Networking functions were held in the private dining rooms of Sydney’s best restaurants, all on site, including contemporary Australian restaurant BLACK by ezard, sleek Japanese-inspired Sokyo, innovative Momofuko Seiobo and the Milanese–inspired Balla. Some attendees also experienced tours of the harbour via The Star’s private wharf.
Dean Haritos, convenor of the Entrepreneurs Organisation Forum and Managing Director, Haritos Hotels Group, felt The Star’s proposition was better than any other destination.
“We shared in the benefit of the creativity shown by The Star by turning our event into a truly unique experience. From start to finish it showcased Sydney superbly. We were impressed by all the terrific facilities offered by The Star and the attention to detail. It was our best event yet,” said Mr Haritos.
The Star is set to become the largest event destination in Sydney’s CBD with a multi-million dollar multi-purpose event centre currently under construction and due for completion early 2013.
