Sydney Living Museums has entered into a new catering partnership with Restaurant Associates.

The catering partnership is for The Mint and the Justice & Police Museum, two unique venues in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
Restaurant Associates (RA) is at the cutting edge of food service in Australia, delivering a boutique fine dining experience to a range of premier corporate clients and iconic venues including the Sydney Town Hall, the Australian Museum, Taronga Zoo, Westpac and most recently Old Parliament House.
RA will initially support the event side of the business and with Sydney Living Museums is developing a new wedding service and bespoke one-on-one consultancy for special occasions within the private sector.
RA’s general manager for cuisine, Sebastien Lutaud, will demonstrate his expertise designing menus with the client while facilitating one of RA’s sommeliers to match the wine, many of which will be organic or biodynamic.
The new menus will reflect the uniqueness and rich history of these important Australian properties.
“I am inspired by Sydney Living Museums’ stunning buildings, gardens and kitchen collections. Being French I love the historic influence of the two sites and plan to revive many authentic French dishes using local and Indigenous produce to create enticing food experiences,“ he said.
Sydney Living Museums director, Mark Goggin, said “our aim was to find a partner who will share our vision of delivering the highest standards – in food and beverage, service and visitor experience.”
“Our new partnership with Restaurant Associates presents us with an unprecedented opportunity to create and deliver an innovative dining concept and exceptional event services in two of the city’s most significant and historic venues.”
“The outstanding credentials that Restaurant Associates bring to this partnership will enhance and strengthen our positioning as a venue,” Mr Goggin said.
The Mint and the Justice & Police Museum are specialty/boutique venues, ideal for a broad range of medium-sized events for up to 250 people. The Mint is an award-winning event venue, incorporating a purpose-built contemporary venue facility, complemented with meeting rooms housed in the original Mint building facing Macquarie Street.
The Justice & Police Museum was the former Water Police Court and features the original courtrooms.
With the corporate sector all about location and facilities, The Mint is well placed in the centre of Sydney’s CBD and with state-of-the-art of audio-visual.
