The Hilton Sydney continues to deliver a high quality offering to its clients, with more on the way during closure of the convention centre.
As reported earlier in this feature, hotels will have to collaborate when the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre closes at the end of this year. And according to BE Sydney’s Kristian Nicholls, that is already happening.
Mr Nicholls said the IEEE International Conference on Communications, to be held in Sydney in June 2014, will see Sheraton on the Park and the Hilton Sydney collaborate to host the 1200-pax event.
“Plenaries will take place in one hotel and committee meetings in the other,” he told micenet AUSTRALIA.
Chic and centrally located in the heart of Sydney’s buzzing CBD, the award-winning Hilton Sydney is one of the city’s premier convention hotels.
The property features 4000 square metres of unrivalled space and 23 rooms with expansive breakout spaces, making it Sydney’s largest convention hotel next.
Coupled with leading-edge technology and space, the hotel is purposely conceived to host local, national and international events ranging from congresses, conventions and social events with a capacity of between 10 and 3000 delegates* (*combination of the entire events space).
Boasting a number of unparalleled opportunities for innovative functions, event organisers can heighten their experience by hosting an event in one of the unique venues, including the internationally acclaimed Zeta Bar and national heritage listed Marble Bar or the intimacy of celebrity restaurateur Luke Mangan’s glass wine bar.
Hilton Sydney director of sales, Jayson Heron, says the property’s strength is grounded from an understanding of clients’ MICE requirements, providing tailored solutions and remaining relevant in the local and international markets.
“The hotel has an enviable record of providing seamless events through exceptional service, delivery and product offering,” he said.
“This is achieved through acting on partner and delegate feedback, ensuring the hotel remains at the forefront of the market.
“The hotel aims to influence Sydney and the Australasian MICE market through its cutting edge facilities, quality service, diverse food and beverage options and bespoke event spaces.”
In response to delegate feedback Hilton Worldwide has launched “Book More, Get More” which rewards event planners with extra value-added incentives, simply by booking an event at Hilton Sydney and any of the 100 Hilton Worldwide properties throughout the Asia Pacific.
All bookings made for 20 room nights and above will be entitled to enjoy up to six attractive incentives ranging from welcome cocktail drinks, complimentary internet in the meeting venues to selected room upgrades.
Event Planners can select two benefits from options including: welcome cocktails for all delegates, a complimentary room for every 40 paid room nights, two room upgrades, and Executive Floor benefits, and free internet access to the meetings rooms.
Whether it is for business or leisure, Hilton Sydney is built upon a history of experience, quality design and ground-breaking innovation. The attention to detail, state-of-the-art facilities and compelling surroundings combine to make the hotel an excellent all-round choice.
