The local Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) chapter has wrangled the opportunity for incentive organisers in Australia and New Zealand to be able to sit the Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP) examination locally in October 2021.
Usually to obtain this certification, those based in Australasia would have to go overseas to access the exam, but SITE ANZ has arranged for the exam to be held in Melbourne on October 4, Sydney on October 5 and Auckland on October 8.
There are also special discount rates to become a SITE member and to sit the exam – half year membership for SITE until December 31 is US$275 and the exam fee is US$200 (normally $675).
The examination and certification offers formal and objective recognition of expertise in incentive planning and delivery, including for the financial management, communication, risk management and CSR elements of managing an incentive program as well as for strategic planning, human resources, sales and professionalism in the incentive space.
“CITP certification is available to incentive travel professionals who have at least the past 12 consecutive months and a total of five years’ experience in the incentive travel industry, or three years’ experience and SITE’s Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) designation,” says SITE ANZ President, Colette Baini.
“CITP was established to standardise and verify incentive travel professionals’ specialised skills while promoting professionalism across the industry. I encourage you to take the exam and help raise the bar of the industry as a whole.”
The local SITE chapter will also look to arrange some local study groups to supplement the online learning for the certification.
Those interested in sitting the exam in Australia this year need to express their interest by August 6.
