We received great feedback from our last industry friends update, so here we are with another.

This time, we had a chat with Directions’ Michael Walker to find out what he’s been up to in isolation, what skills he’s been learning and what he plans on doing after the restrictions are lifted.

What are the top 3 things you will do after lockdown?

Go to the pub!  Virtual cocktails with my friends is just not the same as actually meeting up face-to-face.  Which also goes for our meetings industry!

Hug someone.

Visit my parents – but will have to wait to we can travel Trans Tasman before I can do that.

What are your favourite things to do at home to keep you sane/happy?

Getting pretty skilled at jigsaws… though I do become a bit too obsessed. Once I start one I don’t stop until it’s finished.

A lot of Zoom coffee and cocktail dates… more cocktails than coffee to be honest.

Cooking a tonne – which is then leading to EATING a tonne.

What new skills are you learning?

Had great plans for this… was going to learn French, do some online graphics design course… blah blah. Have done nothing! I’ve now decided that maybe I will learn to KNIT! Stay tuned for a new line of badly knitted scarves I’ll be selling online for winter.
