One organisation that has not paused its efforts is OzHarvest, with the charity continuing to deliver excess food to agencies across Australia that pass it along to the vulnerable. Perth’s Optus Stadium has given OzHarvest an almighty boost this month by donating more than $70,000 worth of food and beverages.

Items donated include orange juice, coffee, tea, water, soft drink, chips, nuts and condiments, which would have otherwise gone to waste due to the suspension of the AFL season.

RAC Arena has also done its bit for those in need, donating 750 sandwiches, wraps and sushi packs; 40 kilograms of fruit and vegetables; and 30 litres of milk to the Salvation Army, after the Perth Wildcats NBL grand final series was cut short.
