THAILAND Pattaya’s reputation as a tourism and MICE destination is further strengthened with the launch of the “North Pattaya, More Than You Think” campaign by seven stakeholders in North Pattaya.
Partner hotels – Amari Orchid Pattaya, Cape Dara, Pullman Pattaya Hotel G, Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, Dusit Thani Pattaya, Holiday Inn Pattaya and The Zign – will leverage on a combined 3000 guestrooms and numerous events spaces, as well as experienced events teams.
Amari Orchid Pattaya general manager Brendan Daly said: “The aim of our ‘North Pattaya, More Than You Think’ campaign is to create a new identity and increase awareness of the world-class infrastructure and hotels within North Pattaya.”
The campaign aims to establish a reputation for North Pattaya as a world-class MICE and Indian wedding destination, and subsequently help to increase the volume of quality visitors to the area.
Mr Daly said: “We are hoping to garner support from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau to generate more MICE to the area, and with help from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, to substantially increase the number of Indian Weddings.”
For the start-up, the campaign’s tools will include a brochure and website which are currently being developed.
The sprawling Pattaya City comprises three major zones – North, Central and South, with Northern Pattaya remaining more secluded than the others. Pattaya is located one and a half hours from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
