The inaugural Luxperience exhibition for the high-end experiential travel industry held in Sydney in September will be targeting more involvement from the business event sector in 2013.

CEO and co-founder of Luxperience, Rosemarie Sama, who was previously the show director of the AIME exhibition in Melbourne, told exhibitors and visitors on the final day of the three-day tradeshow they would be targeting more MICE-related product.
“We’ve decided to include a much greater element of the meetings and events industry into the exhibition next year as we feel there is definitely an experiential dimension to meetings and events and incentives that we would like to fulfil,” Ms Sama said.
“You can expect next year’s show to have more unique event venues and experiential event experts included as exhibitors, and more top event and meeting planners invited amongst the buyers.”
Ms Sama said being in its first year organisers were aware there remained room for improvement and they would be taking onboard suggestions from exhibitors and visitors to improve the event in 2013.
“It will be held in Sydney next year in the same venue [Overseas Passenger Terminal].”
She said the 2013 show would do away with exhibition stands in favour of what she described as “a business class lounge environment – a very glamorous airport lounge”.
Not only would this improve the look and feel of the show but it would also enable a much more cost-effective entry point to participate.
The 2013 event will be held from September 2 to 4.
