The Seoul Convention Bureau (SCB) has added a number of health and safety measures to its PLUS SEOUL support program for meetings and incentives, including the Infection-free Zone and Reassuring Package.

In an effort to restore confidence among international conference and exhibitions planners, SCB assures venues will remain infection-free with ongoing sanitation for the duration of an event. The Reassuring Package, meanwhile, will provide ‘comfort and care services’ for attendees, including assistance for medical emergencies as well as translation and interpretation services.

In February, when a 4,600-strong Indonesian incentive landed in Seoul, SCB provided the local DMC with additional protective materials (for both staff and delegates) and guidance surrounding upgraded public health and safety measures.

The bureau is also beefing up support for longer-term recovery efforts; offering online courses to help event planners up-skill, and 2.6 billion KRW (approx. 3.1 million AUD) in direct financial aid.
