Foodies are a passionate and devoted lot and that’s been at the heart of the success of the Good Food & Wine Shows around Australia. But over the past two years, bringing together their loyal followers has been stifled.

Keeping this community engaged in the absence of face-to face events has been a big challenge. Now organiser Talk2 Media and Events has created a marketplace for its exhibitors and buyers in the form of an online interactive 225-page catalogue, called Good Food & Wine @ Home.

Talk2Media says shoppers can browse producers featuring special offers on wines, spirits, cheese, pantry products, kitchen equipment and glassware plus recipes and entertaining tips.

The catalogue includes over 300 food and beverage producers who normally exhibit at the show.

It provides engagement opportunities with online tutorials of the type normally delivered at the live event. These include online tutorials on how to create a seafood platter, how to match the right wines for your BBQ and cheeses, plus ideas for setting the perfect table or picnic and cocktail recipes and offers.

Jo Duncan, Marketing Director for the Good Food & Wine Shows said that it took six weeks to source and compile the content and the digital catalogue may become an ongoing offer when live shows resume in 2022.

“We have over 350 exhibitors and 16 commercial partners who had been anticipating showcasing and selling their products to the 100,000 visitors who attend our four shows each year.

“When we had to postpone (and then ultimately cancel) our events for 2021, we knew we had to do something to help.

“We have an engaged online database of over 150,000 and over 130,000 who follow us on our social media channels so, without the shows to organise, we felt we could take them online and give our audience, producers and partners a different online experience this year,” she said.

Good Food & Wine @ Home, presented by Citi, is running digitally on Issuu from now until Christmas and access to the online catalogue and recipes and events within it are free. The next Good Food & Wine Show is planned for Melbourne between June 3 and 5, 2022 with the Sydney show to follow between June 24 and 26, 2022.
