Here is something worthwhile to do if you are looking to skill up during the NSW lockdown.
The State Government is providing a training opportunity to improve technical skills in the use of software to help you design floor plans and other event-related drawings.
TAFE NSW, in conjunction with the Government, is offering a free online short course on Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems.
The course is currently being promoted by Meet in Regional NSW. It aims to equip event professionals with the skills and knowledge to create accurate event site/layout plans using the software commonly used across the industry. The course also addresses WHS practices in business events.
Applicants must live in NSW and be a current job seeker or new entrant into the tourism/events industry to be eligible to apply.
The course is being delivered online and involves 3 hours of class, over one day for four weeks.
For more information including eligibility requirements visit the TAFE NSW website.
