Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) General Manager Adrienne Readings has been appointed as Chair of the Destination Gold Coast board, following the departure of Paul Donovan who spent 17 years in the position.

“I’m honoured to take on this role at such a crucial time for tourism on the Gold Coast and am looking forward to working with all stakeholders to ensure that the city continues to shine as a destination for both business and leisure tourism,” Readings said.

“DGC has an incredibly strong team led by CEO Patricia O’Callaghan, supporting our local operators and businesses. Our vision is to build on our history as one of Australia’s most popular destinations into an even more attractive choice for visitors.”

Donovan said he had confidence in handing over the position to Readings.

“Adrienne has been a strong and active supporter of the Gold Coast throughout her career and takes every opportunity to grow the reputation and success of our city.”
