Today an agreement was announced by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc: with joint venture partners, Frasers Property Australia and Sekisui House Australia, to open Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park. Located in the AU$2 billion Central Park urban village at the former Old Kent Brewery site, the 297-room new build hotel is scheduled to open in 2018 as part of a mixed-use development.

The hotel, designed by internationally acclaimed British architecture firm Foster + Partners, is close to Sydney’s Central Station and will be showcased on the prominent facade of the award-winning Central Park precinct – a spectacular mixed-use project consisting of appealing retail space, stylish apartments, cool office spaces and student accommodation. Situated at the heart of Sydney’s trendy and emerging Chippendale and Broadway suburbs, and adjacent to the University of Technology Sydney and University of Notre Dame, the new development will open up the Old Kent Brewery to Sydney residents for the first time in 150 years.
Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park will feature 297 guest rooms, a bar and lounge with an outdoor terrace, a restaurant, nearly 550 square metres of function space, a fitness centre, and convenient parking facilities.
