Tourism Portfolio hosted a group of senior PCOs to the Hunter Valley in early September to showcase the newest offsite venues in the company’s portfolio.

As far as micenet knows, this was the first old-fashioned educational that had participants exploring the destination in person.

Tourism Porfolio MD, Donna Kessler, said with borders currently closed “there is no better time to explore NSW. The Hunter Valley’s close proximity to Sydney is an ideal destination for events and Ben Ean and Peterson House have great spaces for offsite events, meetings and team-building activities.  It was a good chance to showcase them and a great chance to sample some of the famous Hunter wines.”

During the visit, the group enjoyed a fun pizza making competition, a mystery wine activity, a progressive dinner, a wellness experience, and a hosted breakfast – all undertaken with COVID-19 safe practices in place.

Eight participants came from companies including CWT Meetings & Events, Directions, ci events, 212f, The Events Authority and Events With Moore.

Other famil partners included Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Tulloch Wines, Elysia Wellness Retreat and Rover Coaches.

Tourism Portfolio sales and marketing manager, Adam Barclay Rose, said: “The strong support of our accommodation partner Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley was instrumental to the success of the trip.
