The Exhibition & Event Association of Australia celebrated excellence in the sector at its 2014 EEAA Awards night in Melbourne last week, with winners presented in 15 categories.

The 2014 awards also saw the first recipient inducted into the EEAA Hall of Fame inductee because of consistent achievement. This was Reed Exhibitions Australia following its win in the Best Green Initiative category three years running.

Winners were:

The Richard Geddes Young Achiever Award – Lauren Milledge, Sydney Showground

Hall of Fame – for Best Green Initiative – Reed Exhibitions Australia (category winner in 2014, 2013 and 2012)

Best Consumer Show over 10,000 m2 – Motorclassica, Exhibitions & Trade Fairs

Best Trade Show over 10,000 m2 – Fine Food Australia – Melbourne, Diversified Communications Australia

Best Supplier Team – League of Legends 2014, VIM Media & Events

Best Venue Team – Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014)

Best New Product or Service – Venue Management Solution with Real Time Booking Engine for Events, iVvy

Best Green Initiative – Reed Exhibitions and Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island Sustainable Transport, Reed Exhibitions Australia

Most Outstanding Marketing Campaign – Cake Bake & Sweets Show, National Media

Best Consumer Show under 10,000 m2 – Dog Lovers Show, Event Management International

Best Trade Show under 10,000 m2 – Security Exhibition & Conference, Diversified Communications Australia

Best Custom Stand – Cisco Stand at Cisco Live, Exhibit Systems
