The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has maintained its commitment to leveraging International Women’s Day (IWD) to help two important causes.

Each year, the Association calls on the industry to support two charities, Fitted For Work and UN Women Australia.

EEAA chief executive Claudia Sagripianti has invited the industry to make a contribution towards improving the lives of women in our community by supporting the association’s work and also joining its virtual event on March 4, 2021. Find out more about the event here.

The EEAA has called for donations of good quality corporate clothes and accessories for The Conscious Closet, the retail social enterprise of Fitted for Work. The donations can help women experiencing disadvantage get back on their feet through special pre-employment and post-employment programs designed to help empower women.

Fitted for Work says the contributions from the industry will support its work nationally and in a more sustainable way. The recycled clothing can be sold at its stores generating funds to help deliver their important programs. They say this also planet-friendly.

Good clean clothes and accessories can be sent to the EEAA office in Chatswood, Sydney or contact Emily Leung at memberservices@eeaa.com.au to make other arrangements.
