Thailand – Bangkok is the host destination of an inaugural regional cosmetics and beauty exhibition and forum, prompted by the evident growth and continued potential of Thailand’s cosmetics market and spa and wellness industry.

Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok 2014 exhibition and conference will be held concurrently with the third edition of World Spa & Well-being Convention, scheduled to take place from September 18-20 this year. The combined events have been projected to attract over 400 exhibiting companies and approximately 15,000 buyers and sellers. It is also estimated to rake in a 10-15 percent industry growth indirectly from related trade deals.

Organised by Informa Exhibitions and Impact Exhibition Management, Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok 2014 has garnered strong support by the Health & Beauty Cluster, Federation of Thai Industries, as well as key associations across key sectors of the Thai beauty industry, including Thai Cosmetics Manufacturers Association; Thai Spa Association; Herbal Products Association; Health Food and Supplements Association; National Hairdresser Association; Beauty Culture Association Of Thailand; and Thai Herbal Industry Association. The ASEAN Cosmetics Association has also endorsed the regional event.

Ranked 17th in world production of cosmetics, the industry has grown significantly by 10-20 percent annually over the past decade, with its exports representing 1.28 percent of world exports for make-up cosmetic products.

“The beauty and personal care industry is an important sector of Thailand, being one of the most advanced cosmetics markets in Asia. The Thai cosmetics market is worth over 56 billion baht in both domestic and export sales. It is hence very appropriate for Thailand to be the host of Beyond Beauty ASEAN which serves an effective regional business exchange platform for the industry and market,” said Loy Joon How, general manager of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre.
