Australia’s presence in business events aligned international consulting entity MBB-Consulting Group has been given a boost with the appointment of Dan Londero to its pool of consulting partners.
Londero is one of Australia’s most internationally experienced exhibition industry executives who recently teamed up with ex-Reed Exhibitions colleague John Gorton to form Turnkey Event Solutions.
It’s another sign of the shake-up and rebuilding of the exhibition industry globally.
Londero told micenet he was honoured to be part of the coalition of senior industry figures in MBB-Consulting, which was founded by Europe-based Matthias Tesi Baur. He said there was an important role to be played especially in the area of mergers and acquisitions doing the due diligence for involved parties.
Working overseas pre-COVID, in his 24-year career, Londero has been CEO of organisations in Australia, China and the UK. He’s also worked extensively in India, the Middle East and Turkey.
The MBB-Consulting Partner Group was formed in late 2021 by the firm, with Chris Meyer (Chris Meyer Global), Tony Calanca (Calanca & Associates LLC) and Andrew Furness (exhibition strategy and sustainability consultant) as its founding partners. Paul Woodward from Paul Woodward Advisory has also since joined the group.
The objective of the global network is to assist exhibition businesses to rebuild.
“I am honoured to be affiliated with such a strong network of senior consultants covering a wide range of major business regions around the world and who bring an enormous wealth of experience together,” said Londero.
“I’m looking forward to collaborating with the MBB-Consulting Partners.”
An industry blue-blood, Londero was a senior executive at Reed Exhibitions (RX) and was a member of their global executive leadership team for 13 years before co-founding Turnkey Event Solutions (TES) in Australia. He has worked across most facets of the expo industry having run exhibitions, launched new events, acquired events and event businesses and led sales teams globally. He says his passion is to provide support for the current and emerging leadership of the industry.
MBB-Consulting Group founder Matthias Tesi Baur said he was delighted Londero was joining the consulting partners group of the business.
“His global network combined with many years’ experience will add another dimension to what we can offer our clients. 2022 will be a critical recovery year for the exhibition industry and many companies have ambitious plans for which we hope to be able to provide support,” Baur said.
