Australia’s largest network of associations has released the findings of its latest Association Membership and Services Survey, polling 200 associations across the country to uncover how trends across the sector are evolving.
The results show membership retention levels are rebounding, with retention rates increasing, after last year’s decrease.
The impact of COVID-19 on the sector is lessening somewhat with associations less likely to be offering blanket membership discounts, while continuing to offer financial relief to members who indicate they need it to continue their affiliation with their professional network.
Unsurprising, association events continue to be disrupted by the pandemic, however the sector has responded by embracing the technology of hybrid events, with nearly half of respondents following a hybrid event model allowing either in-person or virtual attendance at their events.
