India – Marriott International has launched its first Fairfield by Marriott property in Asia with the opening of Fairfield Bengaluru Rajajinager in South India.

The 148-room hotel has three meeting rooms spanning a total of 2196 square feet, with the largest room capable of seating up to 200 pax.

In addition to guest rooms and meeting spaces, Fairfield Bengaluru Rajajinager has a business centre, fitness centre, rooftop pool, 24/7 Market for drinks and snacks, and an all-day dining restaurant serving authentic Indian and Western cuisines.

With 40 India cities reaching a population of over one million and the growing middle class seeking quality and consistency within the internationally-branded hotel arena, a spokesperson from Marriott International told micenet ASIA that India is a prime market for Fairfield’s entry into Asia.

Marriott International’s Fairfield Inn & Suites VP global brand management, Shruti Gandhi Buckley, said the Fairfield product in Asia, in association with SAMHI Hotels Pvt. Ltd., is a direct result of research conducted in India and Asia to better understand guests’ preferences around guestrooms, public spaces and F&B offerings.

Fairfield Bengaluru Rajajinager is part of the company’s expansion in Asia with 12 hotels signed in India and additional properties signed in Nepal and Indonesia.
