The Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) reopened to client events in August, and while the centre’s team is anxiously awaiting the opening of national and international borders, the venue is being supported by local business with upwards of 200 events since it relaunched through until the end of the year.
“We’re delighted to welcome SA-based clients back to the centre, and very much looking forward to welcoming national and eventually international clients as soon as borders are open,” said Simon Burgess, general manager of the ACC.
“Like others, we’re starting slowly and working collaboratively with our Team Adelaide partners to help restore confidence in face-to-face events in the market. The past few months have certainly demonstrated that dynamic, face-to-face events are even more important now than they ever have been.
“At the ACC, the health and wellbeing of our guests and team members remains our top priority. To provide confidence and ensure a safe environment for visiting delegates, clients and staff, we have a comprehensive COVIDSafe plan in place, which has been approved by the South Australian Government, and are continuing to actively monitor the situation and follow the latest advice and guidelines issued by SA Health, the Australian Department of Health and the World Health Organisation.”
